Abstract Every philosophical traditions present the world in a unique way, which it assumed or purported to be the best way that Man should live and relate to his environment. In the same vein, mechanistic philosophy as a philosophical tradition, or school holds that the world, or natural environment is a machine and its mode of operation must be properly understood and channeled for the benefit of man.. However, this mode of cognition, or attitude of man towards society have serious implications on the environment, and even man himself, as he is part and parcel of environment. This work is therefore, to analyze, harmonize and suggest possible possible ways with which mechanism, or mechanistic philosophy and its ideologies could be properly applied for the benefits of Man and non human elements in the environment.
