Love First Before You Start Loving

In love's intricate dance, we must learn to tread,
With cautious steps and a heart that's well-fed.
For to love without knowing the warmth it imparts,
Is to risk the fragility of our own beating hearts.

To love first, before love you bestow,
Is to understand the ebb and the flow.
It's the wisdom to cherish the love you receive,
Before asking another heart to believe.

In loving oneself, we discover the key,
To nurturing love, both pure and carefree.
For only when self-love has been well-learned,
Can the fires of passion be earnestly earned.

So, love yourself first, embrace your own grace,
Then, in loving another, you'll find the right place.
For a love that is whole, and forever true,
Begins with the love that starts within you.

Yet, as joyful as this season is, we cannot ignore the reality of the world our children are growing up in. We are living in a period of what I describe as a ...

Mistaken Beliefs about Philosophy (Misconceptions)

MISTAKEN BELIEFS ABOUT PHILOSOPHY (MISCONCEPTIONS) "Oh gosh! How can I dine in the table of the occult? I mean what do you think I would tell my mom, that I'm studying what! Philosophy? No, no, no.... I mean my parents wouldn't have let me rest. Philosophy is worst than hell" said Jane a 16years old girl during a conversation with her friends.   I would have taken it as a mere adolescent talk but getting in touch with Jane's parents I realized that Jane was serious in her remarks. Maybe Mom and Dad had given Jane a pre-orientation about Philosophy but on a negative angle.   People always have a negative way of defining things hence creating a negative impression about such things. The case is not different about Jane and her parents. Not only Jane have this Mistaken Beliefs about Philosophy other people does have the same. Perhaps, you also have. Philosophy isn't how Jane and her parents see it. What they think about Philosophy is a Mistaken Beliefs, in o...
